If Only Cars Could Talk! Imagine a Conversation Between Two
or more Cars!
‘Imagine if Cars could Talk;’ the teacher writes on the
board.
“Who says they CAN’T!” A burst of laughter fills the air as
the teacher tries to find the culprit. Looking out the window I spot two very
different cars sitting about a metre apart. A panther black Jaguar and a
disgusting, beat-up Mini.
Next to the Jaguar the Mini looks like something that
belongs in a scrap yard. My imagination runs wild. Wondering what the cars
would be saying. In my mind, I hear the Jaguar’s boasting. A soft purring
voice; “STAY AWAY FROM ME! You disgusting pile of junk!”
Staring at the sleek new car the Mini turns away, crying its
eyes out. A paper ball aimed at the back of my head brings me back to reality.
I take out my book and start my story. It’s about a Mini and a Jaguar. Someone
lets out a burp and the class bursts out laughing again.
While I stare out the window my hand flies across the page.
Leaving a bunch of scribbles and messy writing. The bell brings me back to
reality again. I walk out the door; still thinking about the cars.
